I don’t know how many times, I’ve had a version of this conversation with people.
“Are you not feeling well again?”
“Well, I’m still feeling unwell, yes.”
“I can’t believe you’re getting sick again.”
“It’s the same ongoing illness.”
“I used to fall ill a lot, but then I realized I wasn’t drinking enough water.”
“Actually, my doctor advised me to reduce my water intake because I was overhydrating. However, hydration isn’t the issue here.”
“Perhaps it’s your diet.”
“I work with a dietitian and undergo regular medical tests. My diet is carefully managed and advised by my medical team. It helps, but it’s not a cure.”
“Have you tried yoga?”
I understand that it might seem that following the right steps ensures good health, but the stark reality is that one’s health can deteriorate without any fault or reason.
Do you remember the Shingles commercial. Shingles doesn’t care. Well, guess what most illnesses don’t care how much you exercise, what you eat, etc. It’s a lottery and if you are healthy enjoy it and be grateful, not everyone has the same luck.
